This is my 3rd VA Home Loan and for some reason, the underwriter was being extremely picky about my time/travel share details. Started the process with a higher than normal debt to income ratio due to an auto loan my ex wife was supposed to take over (and eventually did). Just seemed out of the norm as I had almost the exact same background during my last loan application process...I'm sure there were differences but this was not expected and seemed really intrusive.
The process was pretty easy otherwise. The online to-do list and document center was user-friendly and easy to navigate.

I would definitely recommend veterans United. They made our first home buying experience extremely easy and stress free to navigate. Helped get our scores where they needed to be and kept communications open through the whole process.

There were a lot of fees in closing I was not expecting. It was almost 8k in closing costs. otherwise the whole process was stress free and made easy. The team was great.

It’s hard to find a lender who is familiar with both veterans and a VA loan. If you’re planning on using your VA Loan, Veterans United is the only way to go, I can’t recommend them highly enough. Buying a house can be stressful, except with Veterans United. The team took what was, in the past, a tedious and time consuming process, and streamlined it resulting in a simple, quick, and straightforward application. They worked closely with us, our realtor, and our title agency, ensuring we were all on track for a remote, on-time closing. My only regret is that I didn’t know about them sooner, and didn’t use them on previous house purchases.
