Overall very good. We did have some issues in the beginning when qualifying our income. We switched loan officers and we were good after that. The online portal they have is convenient and I like how they have the process mapped out so you know what is coming up next. They kept on top of things to make sure the closing happened on time. The loan origination fee was higher than some other bank I've used, but overall I would use them again.
we would like to comment on how professional and caring Daren Bodine and veterans united team are. this is the third time my wife and I have gone through veterans united, and each time is a pleasure to work with Daren and Levi. we appreciate the service they provide, they are very kind, caring and respectful ,always. there so understanding of the stress people go through, and it is very much appreciated. we would not hesitate to recommend Daren and veterans united to anyone who is looking to finance or re-finance a home. The outreach strategies VU uses would be great for a first time home buyer that need a lot of assistance and guidance. This being my 4th home loan in 7 years, and having a really busy schedule it felt a bit pushy at times but that is totally subjective and I don’t necessarily discourage the practice. The Plaid software saved me a ton of time going through bank statements-Sustain. I also noted that tasks were assigned at intervals I assume as to not overwhelm. This is a personal preference but I just wanted it all up front so I could budget my time and not have to carve out 30 min here and there; but again I am probably the minority in this. Overall, great service.
We won’t be doing business with anyone else when it comes to home buying/refinancing! Veterans United has exceeded our expectations!
