Easy process overall, everyone was great. I was extremely happy with the high level of communication I had with my team through out the process.
For a first time home buyer, you will not find a group or an organization who will be as helpful and make this process significantly easier. The team went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of and things were going smoothly. From consistent calls to see how I was doing and handling everything behind the scenes, this team did it all. Could not be happier with my house, the process, and the people who made this all happen. For the most part Veterans United and Jake were good to work with. The issue I had was with the fact that every time I would get a new loan estimate to sign the numbers were way higher than what I was told to expect. I was told not to worry about the numbers because supposedly they were worst case scenario. They ended up not too far off the end amount. It was like pulling teeth to get my final closing cost amount. It ended up being a ton more than was talked about before some credits were applied. In the end the amount wasn’t awful the communication from my loan team was. The whole situation would have been much easier to handle if they had let me know what was actually going on instead of a big surprise at the end with no explanation. I can’t say how Veterans United rates compared to other companies.
This is the second home I have purchased and Veterans United made it easier than buying my first home.
The Veterans United app and online experience is very user friendly. So impressed with how well we were kept informed and the ease of reviewing and signing all documents online. Kevin, Kristine, and Gabe all did an amazing job. Even the little things of sending out personalized gifts means a lot and my wife and I will definitely go back to Veterans United if we ever decide to buy again.
The whole team was just absolutely incredible. Felt like I knew them for years. Alex, Jayme and Sarah were there for me and my family and it made the home buying experience less stressful. I appreciate them like you wouldn’t believe and would recommend them to all veterans. Set the bar very high if I ever purchase another property. I would absolutely 1000% request to work with them again.
