The pre-approval process and ability to generate customized letters was great, and won me over (I had other pre-approvals too.) The issue I had with VU was the tone deafness of the underwriters, who wanted gift letters from my spouse for her portion of the down payment cash and money we moved between our individual bank accounts, which is how we pay our bills. I got tired of trying to explain this, and just added her to the loan.

Only think that can make my experience better would have a better interest rate as a disable vet this is the most desire benefit one could get. And is the company national rates are 5.4% but you got clear to close a week before at 6.75% you should and you can without fail over write to that lowest rate.
