Overall this experience was not the greatest. I failed myself by not doing enough research prior to purchasing and wished I had asked a lot more questions from the beginning. As I mentioned above, I expected to be overwhelmed with information about the process and figured that would fill the gaps. The first question doesn't give the option of "I'm not sure if I would recommend", but I'm honestly not sure if I would recommend to others or use Veterans United again for myself.

Amazing effort from start to finish
Our third home and definitely the smoothest mortgage process we have had. Dave, Heather, Tawny and the rest of the VU team were on the ball. Quick responses to any questions we had, though there were few as they provided information in advance of each step. And the app for VU made it easy to follow the process and to keep us, the buyers, on track with our tasks like which forms needed to be signed, ordering the appraisal, and arranging the transfer of utilities. Even our real estate agent and our closing attorney were impressed with how on-the-ball Dave and his team were.
Overall, VU did not disappoint, such a quick turn around for our closing and all our questions were answered. All the staff that we dealt with were professional, quick and courteous. We would definitely utilize VU services again!
The only issue I feel that Veteran's United could work on is to inform their clients of everything that is required all at once from the beginning. Sometimes I would have to submit documents or arrange services that could be timely to get on short notice. But, Mrs. Thomas was more than flexible with deadlines. It was just my irregular work schedule that created a small challenge on some things. Other than that, Veteran's United is the only way to go for home loan needs for veterans in my opinion. I plan to sell my home in about 5-6 years and build a house on my property. You better believe I will be contacting Veteran's United and hopefully Mrs. Thomas will still be there to handle the process! Thank you all and happy holidays!
