great service by Solibel, cystal, and bob with the whole process.
I have to say, the team of people that helped us were amazing! From my first contact with Mary then to the rest of the team Tyler, Drew, Melissa, Nicole and Kaitlyn I felt so supported. Then when we got the house of our dreams, the communication was amazing. Emails and phone calls to keep us on track to our target closing day was greatly appreciated. Veterans United also gave us recommendations on services that we needed, names of the utility companies in the area we are moving to and basically felt like they were walking beside us so we felt supported. If you are a current military family or veteran I highly recommend them for your next mortgage. A group of knowledgeable, caring team players that want to get you into the home of your dreams.
In the beginning it was nice. But then we had a whole “team” jumping in and out communicating different things and it seemed like they were not communicating amongst themselves well. We got handed off to a new agent towards the end of our home buying and I ended up reaching out to her on multiple occasions to answer her questions which she would then reiterate in an email or a text whether that be a day or two later like we never talked or immediately after our phone call. After her we got handed back to our first agent who changed our closing estimate the day before closing which resulted in me driving over an hour away to our bank and then an hour back whilst trying to make it before the law office closed. Which I now know that they had to sign off on that amount well prior to the closing date and just neglected to properly inform me.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Madison,
Thank you for sharing this. I’m glad things started off on a positive note, but I’m really sorry for how frustrating the rest of the experience became. Being passed between multiple team members and receiving inconsistent communication can make the process feel disorganized and stressful.
I can understand how frustrating it must have been to repeat information and then see it not reflected or followed through. On top of that, having your closing estimate change the day before closing and needing to make a last-minute trip like that is a significant inconvenience. You should have had clear, timely information well before that point.
This isn’t the level of coordination or communication you should expect, and I appreciate you bringing it to our attention. I’d really like the opportunity to look into what happened and better understand your experience.
If you’re open to it, please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and we’ll follow up the next business day if you contact us after hours.

You guys were fantastic. Thank you!
Great job and communications, very easy step by step process and overall amazing job with the whole process, thank you
From start to finish my whole team was very helpful. They made my home buying experience very easy. Wouldn’t change anything about the entire process.
We are very pleased with the service that was provided for us to purchase our new home. We will definitely refer for future business
I highly recommend Veterans United. Having dealt with other mortgage lenders I can tell you they are the most knowledgeable when it comes to the VA Loan process. Even if you have undesirable credit; they have a team that coaches you on how to build it back up. You never have to worry about being embarrassed because there is no judgement. They really there to help. Although there is a lot of running around and document requirements in the beginning, I can assure you it is for a good reason. They are very thorough therefor making sure there are no surprises when it comes to closing.
From start to finish, working with Michelle, Lindsay, Alex, and Jessica at Veterans United was an absolute 10/10 experience. Buying a home can be stressful, but this team made the entire process feel smooth, organized, and honestly… way easier than I expected.Michelle sets the tone —knowledgeable, responsive, and always one step ahead. Every question I had (and there were plenty) was answered quickly and clearly, which gave me a ton of confidence throughout the process.Lindsay was incredible on the coordination side. She kept everything moving, made sure I knew exactly what was needed and when, and never let anything fall through the cracks. I always felt like I was in good hands.Alex brought a level of professionalism and attention to detail that really stood out. Everything was handled thoroughly and efficiently, and I never once felt like anything was being rushed or overlooked. And Jessica—just outstanding. Super helpful, easy to work with, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure things stayed on track. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customer experience. What really stood out about this group is how well they work together. It felt like a true team effort the entire time—communication was seamless, expectations were clear, and they made what could have been a complicated process feel straightforward and even enjoyable. If you’re buying a home and have the chance to work with this team at Veterans United, take it. You won’t find a better group to guide you through it.
They made the process very easy and we're transparent during they entire mortgage from start to finish.
Excellent work by the entire team! Great communication from start to finish!!
Veterans United home loans was a great experience. Professional, very knowledgeable and very quick. They helped me every step of the home buying process. Thank you so much.
Very Professional. Good communications. 2nd time I’ve used them.
Without Travis's help, we wouldn't have our home.
Well, I did recommend you to my brother, Stefan Suliman, in Georgia. However, I hope he will have a better team. Lots of mistakes happened. My team nearly lost me as a customer with their inexperience and lack of organizational skills. You should have a checkpoint system in which you email your customers about what needs to be done.
My team is telling me we will take care of the pest control/termite inspection. You don't need to worry. Well, 10 days to closing, and they dump it into my lap; we need the home inspected for termites. Oh, guess what? They also needed the metal shed inspected. three days before closing. That is crap, and your interest rates are all over. My brother got 5.75%, no points, and I got 5.99 with points. really lets squeeze the veterans for what we can? I guess I will need to find someone in the media to give you some publicity.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Marcel,
First, I appreciate you trusting us enough to recommend your brother. That makes it even more disappointing to hear how frustrating your own experience was. I’m really sorry for the stress caused by the late requests and lack of organization, especially so close to closing. Being told something is handled and then having it come back to you at the last minute isn’t the kind of experience you should have.
You also deserved clearer communication throughout the process so there were no surprises. I hear your concern about the differences in rates as well, and I understand how that can feel confusing and unfair without the right context.
Your feedback is important, and I’d like the chance to take a closer look at what happened with your loan and experience. If you’re open to it, please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so we can talk through this in more detail.
We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and we’ll follow up the next business day if you contact us after hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
