He helped us secure our first home, and potential forever home; in an extremely challenging Central Coast of California market that is highly desired for retirees with little to no new housing being developed. Cannot say enough, I can say this though. Our agent (Brooke Sutton) was so impressed with Nick she has highly recommended that my best friend from the Nuclear Navy uses him as they are looking to buy very soon near us; I linked them up today.

I highly recommend Veterans United. Having dealt with other mortgage lenders I can tell you they are the most knowledgeable when it comes to the VA Loan process. Even if you have undesirable credit; they have a team that coaches you on how to build it back up. You never have to worry about being embarrassed because there is no judgement. They really there to help. Although there is a lot of running around and document requirements in the beginning, I can assure you it is for a good reason. They are very thorough therefor making sure there are no surprises when it comes to closing.

Overall, I had a positive experience working with Veterans United for my home purchase in Chicago. The team handled the VA loan requirements and appraisal efficiently and I appreciated the clear communication regarding the conditional approval and final clear to close.However, there were a couple of minor issues. I experienced some communication delays around some questions regarding my mail forwarding and the final cash to close was significantly higher than the initial estimate provided by the lender, which felt abnormal and was a bit of a surprise at the end. Despite these hurdles, the team ensured we stayed on track for a successful closing.
The entire process from start to finish was simple, easy, and seamless. Paired with a fantastic group of people who helped us every step of the way and kept our heads held high through the ups and downs of house hunting. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our furst time buying a home!
Overall this was an exceptional experience! Thank you to the entire team!
