It sometimes took a day to receive a response, however, everyone We worked with was very helpful and professional
Wanted to know where did I get my money that was in the bank, this was none of their business. Wanted to see my withdrawal slips which was none of their business. I had three legitimate monthly incomes... Social Security which I could have lived off of and pay my mortgage with no problem, pension plan from the state and my annuity account which I had six and a half more years of payments coming to me and show them legitimate proof of my monthly receipts and a paper from the company showing them what I make per year and what I still have coming to me and they still had trouble and figuring this out for some reason which held things up. I feel I was put through so much aggravation and trying to prove all my monthly incomes. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone but I had enough of this harassment which I thought was harassment and gave me some stress.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Gary,
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the documentation process left you feeling frustrated and stressed.
I understand how discouraging it can be to provide information about your income and assets multiple times, especially when you felt you had already supplied clear documentation showing your financial situation. Having to answer additional questions about bank deposits, withdrawals, and income sources can feel overwhelming when you're trying to move forward with such an important purchase.
While certain financial documentation is required as part of the mortgage process, it's important that borrowers feel informed about why information is being requested and confident that their concerns are being addressed along the way. I'm sorry that your experience left you feeling aggravated and that the process created unnecessary stress.
I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience and review the concerns you've raised. If you're willing, please contact me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and messages received outside those hours are typically returned the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
Mallory was awesome, she really went all out all the time for me.
We had a bit of an unusual situation, but she said she could do it, and she DID!
Veterans United was very convenient and hassle free for me. My team was prompt and responsive, answering any questions I had. As a first-time homebuyer purchasing remotely while stationed overseas, VU was able to work around my schedule. Their website and application was easy to use and always avaialable from application process to closing. An interactive checklist was available to keep me on track and included links for information and local recommended services. I couldn't be more satisfied with them.

Getting approved was fast and easy. The whole team is very supportive and responsive. Veterans United Veterans has a great network to get everything set up in your new house before you even move in. Not to mention the discounts you get using their affiliate partners.
Joel Smith was absolutely the best i have ever worked with. His communication skills were absolutely perfect and he did not push us in anyway. He worked with us through the whole process, kept us informed proactively. He was so organized and personable. My realtor also thought he was fantastic to work with. He made a difficult process seem almost too easy for myself and my wife by his way of explaining everthing.
This is my second time working with Jake Hanson and he is amazing. Always willing to answer all my questions and always explains anything I don’t understand. I really love this company.
This made the home buying process so smooth and easy.

This is my third time buying a house with a VA loan through Billy Jones and his team. Just as with the first two times, everything went smooth and they really make the process nearly effortless.
Yes, I would recommend these guys. They were very helpful and walked me through everything. Were patient with me as I was a bit of a worrier and probably pestered them more then I should.
We first began searching for a home before a military move with unknown dates. The team helped us move quickly on a house that ultimately wasn't meant to be and handled it very smoothly. When we finally received orders and hard dates that required even quicker movement, the team came together again and made it happen on our timeline like true professionals. I was very impressed with the customer service, software applications, and timeliness from start to finish. We will absolutely come back on our next home search!
Colin made the whole process comfortable, he is personable, professional and knowledgeable. Things went extremely smoothly until closing and we thought the deal would stop. Colin stepped in ind corrected small issues and we closed successfully. He went above and beyond so that our experience was very positive, a persons
Al touch that speaks highly of the company and especially Colin, thanks
Bryce and Veterans United team made the whole experience very good and hands off for me. Even while my local title company was making things difficult and we eventually had to change title companies in the last few days Bryce and my realtor worked late and through the weekend to make sure we met our closing date.
Very smooth with no surprises.
