
The reason why I gave VU an 8 instead of a 10 is because of my experience after the handoff to the loan coordinator. There were a few issues/confusion that came up just one to two days before closing which caused frustration and scrambling. The appraiser took two weeks to get us the report back versus the independent inspector took less than 24 hours. I also did not like that some of the requested items were via email and not through the portal on the to-do list. I understand that some may have been due to the uniqueness of the property, but we got the water treated a week before close, and I wasn't asked for the treatment invoice/proof until the day before close. Aside from these issues, the preceding process was smooth and clear. I would use VU again in the future.

My unfiltered response is this. Eric Bals failed miserably. I asked him several times if he had gotten my home owner's insurance to which he failed to respond and it was in my to do list for w while. I also had a few questions to which he failed to email or call back. Luckily for you William stepped in as I was getting ready to walk away from this deal. You almost lost this customer due to Mr Bals.



We really thought the best way for us to go would be a local bank or credit union. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The process was completely streamlined and effortlessly. I would highly recommend Veterans United to everyone and would definitely use them in the future. Thanks Veterans United for a great job, your team of professionals did an amazing job!!
