I am truly thankful to Veteran's United.

Working with Veterans United was honestly one of the worst experiences of our life. I developed an eye twitch for how nerve-racking it was. There was little to no return communication with the team, much less our loan specialist.
Poor Alison Pharr really had to pick up the slack and if her position entailed working with us more than Jake Faerber, I don't know why his name was ever even mentioned to us or that he's getting any type of extra payment for our loan. She did her best.
I'm not sure if Jake was sexist or what his issue was with reaching out to me, the wife, who handles all of our finances, but the only time he ever actually got on the phone with us was when my husband sent a message asking why they weren't communicating with me and when he called my husband, he immediately told him to call me because I was the one that handled everything. I never got that call. He had Jason call me for damage control, I guess.
We were assured all kinds of great things if we stayed with Veterans United and it
was like pulling teeth to get them honored.
It seemed as if they forgot and almost acted as if I made it all up . Nothing was updated on the loan review until I sent the screenshots of the conversation, which was literally hours before closing. Had I known that's what they were waiting for, I would have sent it the next day. In the end, that's the only thing that made me grateful we didn't actually speak on the phone but ridiculous that it is the thing I'm most grateful for throughout this entire transaction.
Every document we were asked to sign was done within hours, if not minutes.
We had other lenders beat what Veterans United was offering us across the board but we were promised we would close in under 30 days. That's the only reason we stuck with you guys. Have we known the hell hole we were about to get dragged through and go beyond the 30 days anyways (mind you, this is like 30 days after us supplying everything they asked for) we would have switched.
Each person I did get to actually communicate with Veterans United just apologized and at the very least, didn't try to come up with some nonsense about being behind because we have friends that started later and closed before us.
The homeowners felt so bad for us, they let us move in early. Our Realtor was convinced we were just going to give up on buying a house all together.
I know Jake was the one that made all of this awful but no one else at V.U. was able to get us switched to another loan specialist or able to really save us from this experience so the low rating goes to the company overall.
You guys didn't offer anything better then other lenders and as a matter of fact, it was just worse.
This experience gave us tourettes like triggers😂 Anytime we hear someone mention Veterans United or see a billboard for them, both of us just say out loud, "I f****** hate Veterans United!"
My father is a southern baptist Minister... just to give some perspective on that.

I was originally nervous as I looked around for a VA home loan provider. After reaching out to Veterans United, I knew I made the right choice. From beginning to end of the buying process, each person went above and beyond to assist my family and I.

These guys are the way to go. They care and it shows. No lip service, they tell it like it is and get you to the finish line. Very happy with my experience and will use them again if I ever buy another place.

was super easy

The whole experience was fast the team of Matt and Kath and AJ as well as the realtors Eric and Greg helped me tremendously from the start to the finish I could always reach out and get any questions I had answered I would highly recommend these guys to anyone if I could give higher than a 10 I would definitely use them again when I want to buy another house

Ready to see for yourself?
Experience first-hand why 337,390 homeowners give us a perfect score!

Simply outstanding all around.

We were expecting the home buying process to have so many bumps in the road. All we've ever read about are nightmares when it comes to delayed appraisals, lack of communication from loan teams, and trying to prequalify/close on a home using a VA loan. We had friends and family urging us not to waste our time using Veterans United as our lender. In fact, we were told by so many people to go the conventional route for a mortgage loan, especially during a pandemic.WE ARE SO THANKFUL WE DIDN'T TAKE THEIR ADVICE. If I could upload a screenshot of my call log/texts, I would. I don't think a day went by after our offer was accepted that at least one rep from our personal loan team was in contact with us by phone, text, or e-mail. Our entire VU team has been incredible from the start! I believe we closed in 35 days, and that's only because we chose the extra 5 days as a favor to the sellers. Our appraisal was requested just a few days after the offer was accepted and completed within 72 hours. Our loan officer encouraged us to return any requested documents as soon as possible to prevent delays, and as long as you're living in 2021, you don't even need to leave your home to send on any documents. Everything was completed by uploading screenshots to myVU portal.I absolutely recommend the following reps to ANYONE looking for a good VU team: JOHN LYMAN - Loan Officer, ABBIE MAISLIN - Loan Coordinator, FRANCIE GREEN - Home Buying Concierge, and JENNA SADICH - Veterans United Insurance Agent.A++++++ WILL DO BUSINESS AGAINEvan Lawrence and Jess Stone

Stay AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!💩. Choose a different lender. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU has many complaints on file.
