We used VU after researching VA loan lenders and glad we did. Easy peasy process, all online and closing credit. Use the VU concierge to get a realtor (free) who knows veterans and VA loans. Also recommend on a new build use a VU preferred builder like DR Horton who loves veterans and the cash credits for closing were unbelievable. We closed with zero closing costs due and got our earnest money back. This company and DR Horton are amazing !!!!
Veterans United should be a veteran's first choice. They were more knowledgeable about the VA loan process than other financial institutions that I have dealt with in the past.

The loan process was tiresome and seemed much more difficult then the other loans I have gotten. Because the building process took over a year to complete I was finding that I was having to give documents more then once. The closing was very hectic as they were still asking for documents the day of closing. I feel that having over a year to obtain the loan we would not have to cut it so close.
