Will never use again. They dropped the ball during escrow and caused a week delay in closing. I ended up having to do a lot of the foot work to figure out why things weren't being cleared and what the hold up was. The team stated they had followed up with the companies in question and yet when I called said companies, they told me there was no record of anyone from Veteran's United calling or looking into the matter as they have a detailed call log and would be able to see all inquiries made. This is the third home I've bought myself and have been an assistant in six other escrow processes and this has hands down been the worst experience. The team waited until the last minute to review documents, failed to communicate needs or talk amongst themselves. Seller's Realtor, Seller, Buyer's Realtor, Buyer, and Title Company were all irate with the lack of effort shown. The team cost me an additional $1,200.00 + in storage fees, additional airbnb nights, missed school days, missed work days, fees for having to reschedule movers, loss of contractor work and any renovations I had wanted to accomplish before moving in, had to be canceled due to the extension and unknown escrow closing date.Copy of email sent to the team:
This is completely ridiculous. I have already lost money and had to pay extra fees for rescheduling my movers to move me in, I now have to pay more fees in the storage rental facility, I have to reschedule the contractor and finally extend my Airbnb rental. However, ten minutes ago I was just told they have a new tenant the day after I leave so now I have to find ANOTHER Airbnb for who knows how long which is costing me even more money.I went with Veterans United because Tim said your team and company were capable of doing closing various houses within 10 days and now we’re extending yet again! This is completely absurd and your company has cost me more in fees than I’ve ever experienced with my any of previous home purchases and anyone I know for that matter. The continued oversight is appalling. It wasn’t until I called the VA that Veterans United even knew the reason for the delay in getting a cleared COE. How are we missing such major points? We’ve had the inspection paperwork for how long and we just now noticed they needed to inspect the non-permanent shed? Where does it end?To add insult to injury, Veterans United claims to be well versed in VA loans and all that comes with it and yet, it wasn't until I stumbled upon a random VA website that I learned I would be exempt from all property tax due to my 100% P&T VA disability rating. This was something the team knew full well that I had and yet NOTHING was mentioned to me until I brought it up. This was a HUGE monthly savings and yet NOT ONE person brought this up when we discussed what possible benefits I'd be able to receive for this home and this state. Veterans United is NOT for Veterans and once the loan is closed, they're quick to sell it off to another company. Thank you for making it clear you're purely out for your own financial gain and use the 'Veteran' title purely as a ploy.

Response from Veterans United

Haley, thank you for your open and honest comment. A member of our Client Advocate team is available to discuss your final experience in greater detail. We understand that establishing an escrow account to pay taxes and insurance may have been a point of contention during your loan process. It is our goal to reasonably resolve ongoing concerns and provide the best possible customer service. If you wish to share more information regarding this or any other matter, then please do not hesitate to connect with us. We are thrilled that we were able to close on the home of your choosing in under 30 days and remained in clear communication throughout your process. We hope that in the end you will enjoy your home for years to come and we apologize for any confusion that may have surrounded your 3rd party obligations. We expect that with mutual understanding we have shown a sincere desire to serve you well. Thank you for sharing your voice and valuable feedback.
