Working with Veterans United Home Loans was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. As first-time homeowners, my husband and I were initially nervous about the process, but the team's professionalism and expertise quickly put us at ease. From our initial consultation to the day of closing, every member of the team worked seamlessly together to ensure that all of our needs were met. They provided valuable recommendations and guidance along the way, making sure we understood each step of the process.Their proactive communication and attention to detail were truly impressive. They kept us informed and updated throughout, leaving no stone unturned to ensure a smooth and successful transaction. We cannot express enough gratitude to the entire team at Veterans United Home Loans for their dedication and support. Thanks to them, we are now proud homeowners and couldn't be happier with our experience. Highly recommended to anyone in need of mortgage services!
Thrilled with everything thanks so much for all involved
I highly recommend these great people and would love to work with them again. They took all the guess work out and spent time to teach me how each part of the process works. Veterans United did a fantastic job and really put out the red carpet. I couldn't be happier with how I was treated and the deal I got. I think they all deserve a much higher score than 10. Thank you everyone for the help and making buying a home a very simple process.
VU continues to exceed expectations. This is our third home purchase with them. Will use again and recommend to our friends.
Rachel went above and beyond, she was exceptional!
Various other team members helped as well, including: Mitchell, Alicia and Amanda.Mitchell, thanks for helping me with the right docs and ensuring the correct information was uploaded. Alicia for the insurance assistance, something else I really didn't know how it worked, so thanks for the help. Amanda for helping chase me around doc updates and uploads.Last bit I'll save for the tech. Wow, the platform was so easy to use, very few bugs and quite responsive. I wonder what buying a home is like without a To-Do list, so dang helpful I would have been lost without it.Also! I bought this house completely remote, haven't even set foot inside yet. The fact that VU was able to accommodate all of my lending needs while I was a few thousand miles away, impressive stuff. Thanks again :)
It was a pleasure working with the entire team. They always kept us updated and checked in with us. Once the buying process started everything was done quickly way ahead of our expectations. It was a great experience with no issues or surprises. I will definitely work with them again for refinancing.Thank you for having such a great team.
I really appreciate the help receiving from start to finish from the team. Special thanks to Jeffrey and Rachel. You guys are amazing.
Great, awesome experience, this is my second time buying a house with veteran United and I can express how much i appreciate have such great team working with me! Just outstanding, definitely coming back to veteran united for my next house in the future 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Up until the last few days, this felt like a completely by-the-numbers interaction. Response time was not ideal, and I never felt like the team was really working in my best interests other than to try to just push the deal through and finish the process. I'm sure they will have plenty of excuses and things they will point at to disagree with this, but the fact remains that nothing was ever done that wouldn't have been done by any other lender with a checklist of to-do's that would make me think that a score for exceptional service (something that would set them apart from any other lender) was in order. Everyone on my end felt like we were just a number to these people. In fact many on my side felt that a 5 might be too high... but if I'm being honest, they did their base job to get my loan through for the house... no more, no less, and that's a 5 (well, really a 5.5, but you don't give that option) in my book.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Paul, thank you for sharing this honest review. We apologize that our service did not provide the personalized experience you expected throughout the process. Your comments will help us ensure that we learn from mistakes and improve for the next customer. We value your business and hope you enjoy your new home.
Thanks for being there!
Nathan Bitner is the best loan officer I could recommend. He is knowledgeable, patient, kind, and works as hard as he can to get the right answers and to make sure you are taken care of. I will recommend him to anyone that is buying a home.
The team that helped me was great. I'm thankful for everything that they have done for my family and I. I do however think that the closing documents that VU uses we unclear and complicated. I have bought and sold 3 houses, so it wasn't that I was unfamiliar. In addition, the paralegal at the law firm we closed at said it was overly complicated for them too. Finally, there was a mistake made on the taxes that increased the closing costs a lot. I asked about it and Alberta did an inquiry which ultimately got fixed. I do wonder how many other mistake happen that go un noticed.
