






I enjoyed working with John (Loan Specialist) so much in 2019 for a refinance that when I was ready to buy another home this year (2020), I contacted him again! I initially reached out to John in May 2020 and he responded the next day. Time got away from me, things happened and I didn’t respond but I believe timing is everything. Nonetheless, I reached out again in October 2020, he responded like clock work. We spoke for a few minutes and he said he would call me back with my preapproval status. Now, it was already after 4 pm and I did not expect to hear back until the next day. I assumed incorrectly, John called me back within 30 minutes and from there everything moved like a well oiled machine! Long story longer lol, John and Erin Lange-Kerns work very well together. To be honest, they responded to my emails so quickly that it seemed like I was their only client BOTH times. A great loan specialist will tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear. He/she will not mislead or promise anything. John set me up for success and let me know early on if my plans were feasible. He is very knowledgeable about VA Loans. Erin helps with any questions you have about the process or paperwork. They were both willing to speak to my Realtor even when she was being overzealous. Based upon research, homeownership courses and experience, I can tell you that you can only get out what you put in. Meaning, once your account is created with them, pay attention to your online to-do list- I checked mine multiple times a day. I was on the site so much that I didn’t have to wait for a email to tell me I had a new to-do (hahaha). My point is, they shouldn’t have to chase you for paperwork. Nonetheless, I closed December 2, 2020 on my forever home! Oh yeah and the best part, John contacted me about two weeks before closing to tell me that he could lock in a lower interest rate that previously discussed. Did I mention, I close on another transaction on December 14th? Yep!!! So not one, not two BUT three transactions with this phenomenal team. When people always communicate effectively, always put forth a great effort and always do it with the right intention- I call it consistent integrity. They were extremely communicative, open and honest. Everything was so smooth that I have recommended them and given his contact information to relatives and friends. We all know, you’re only as good as your team and they deserve every bit of praise! I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Emma. Emma was the “closer”. She finished this up by providing me with all of the utility setup information and home security recommendations. Emma was helpful, cheery and willing to assist if I needed anything or had questions. So, you see, it wasn’t just transactional with this team, we built a rapport with one another and I would trust them again and again! I’ll tell you a sign of great service. I forgot to write a review in 2019 so this time I was anxiously waiting to talk about 2019 & 2020.
I forgot to mention the elephant in the room. John, Erin and Emma brought comfort to my home buying experience, especially during a pandemic. I never felt out of the loop or as if I didn’t know something.
Veterans United was not an option, it was and will continue to be my first choice!
I’ve told you all this several times, but I don’t mind saying it again...thank you for being diligent, kind and patient. 2020 has been a doozy for everyone and we still go to work smile and help others because it’s our “job”. However, thank you for not making me feel like a “job”. I look forward to working with you all in the future!
