I would highly recommend Veterans United Home Loans services. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it was very helpful to have a secure site to upload all our personal documents to while we stayed at our home. We sent emails, read and signed documents, watched helpful videos, and got answers to all our questions. Johnny Mitchell was patient, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. We are thankful for a smooth experience.

I can’t say enough about what a great experience I had throughout the process. Everyone was helpful and made the process go so smoothly. Amazing team. Thank You to Everyone.

If i could do it all over again, I would but only if i could get the same awesome team. I would like everyone that's reading this to know that I'm an official home owner thanks to Veterans United and this experience is one of the highlights of my whole existence. Everything that i have ever done in my life has led me to this point and Veterans United solidified that all the hard work was worth it.

Excellent. Veterans United met all of my expectations and surpassed them !!

I was amazed at the customer service and daily updates on status of loan frim Aaron or Mallory. I went from start to finish in 45 days. I recommend them to any Veteran.

The service we were given by our loan specialist Austin Jones was outstanding. He kept us informed through the loan process from the beginning to the end. He was always well mannered,. I would highly recommend him to any new home buyer.
I can’t say enough about our Real Estate Agent Darlene Lutz. She went way and beyond as our agent. She was always a phone call or text away. She went through our new home buying process from the beginning all the way to closing. I feel like I have known her for years. I would also highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new home.

This was the worst experience we have ever had buying a home. Everything about this transaction went wrong and we are extremely disappointed. We'll be filing a complaint with the consumer financial protection bureau.
Where do I even start...
1. Appraisal - The appraisal was sent on 12/04, they only replied 12/14 and we finally received appraisal on 12/18. That's 14 DAYS.
2. During this process, we provided all documents needed within the hour and we continued to see the lack of organization from the underwriting/loan team. They ahd no clue what they were doing, the lack of communication between our agent and them was outrageous. Even after several attempts of emails to get updates, we heard NOTHING. And never did.
3. Closing was delayed which pushed back 4 transactions. We were pushed out of final underwriting for questions that should have been asked since the beginning. Beau Roberts clearly doesn't know what she's doing. She never replied to a single one of our with her, including ones with questions that needed to be answered.
4. On the day we received a clear to close, we were told by our loan officer that we were looking at 24k-25k cash to close after receiving $5k credit from the sellers. We had everything sorted out, it was all looking great...the day after, 20min BEFORE final signing, we received a call that our cash to close had gone from an estimated $25k to $30k. How is this even ok?! How exactly does one expect for a buyer to come up with $5k 30min before signing? On top of the fact that they sent the documents to the title company not escrow. We had to take care of it ourselves. Does anyone know how to do their jobs?Every single person, including the escrow officer was livid. We received ZERO apologies. We are extremely disappointed and we'll make sure to let our fellow veterans friends to never use Veteran's United and already have.
Response from Veterans United
Brenda, thank you for such a detailed review of your recent experience with Veterans United. I'm sorry for the issues you experienced while purchasing your new home. Based on the useful information you've provided, our management team has what is needed to research your concerns. If you think of any additional information, please contact our Client Advocate team to share. We truly hope you enjoy your new home for years to come.
Veterans United made the exciting and stressful experience of purchasing a home simple and quick. That’s all any home buyer could ask for.

I suggest all Veterans at least visit a Veterans United Home Loan office prior to accepting any offers from other Mortgage companies. My representative was honest, very helpful, and upfront. Before making a decision, compare apples to apples.

Lauren was right there helping me throughout this whole process! She was able to do the things that I wasn't necessarily able to get accomplished on my own. She truly was remarkable in getting this process completed in a timely fashion! Thank You Lauren!

We are very grateful. Keep up the great work.

I have already and will definitely refer VU to all of my friends.

I do believe they worked tirelessly to get me to my final destination. I would not hesitate to call again if i needed a loan
