We had a lot of issues with incorrect loan document being pushed to me for review/signature. It seemed as though they weren’t reviewed before I was receiving them. Lauren, while fixing our appraisal issue (so grateful) was very lacking with her communication with us. She told us numerous times to basically not call and she would call us when she had info. We felt very unsure and worried the house would fall through. A lot of work was done for us in the background, but that’s the problem, we were in the dark on most of it. But in the end, everything worked out, so we are very happy.

Overall, my experience with Veterans United was a very positive one. My loan team was quick to respond (usually within a day). I was not in a rush to get this process done as it was a re-fi, so I did not have any issues with the 45 day turnaround time that was expected when the process started (which was upheld in the end).We ran into an issue with the Title Company, but it was not a reflection on Veterans United, who did everything they could to try and fix the situation. Our closing got pushed back a couple days because of this, but I can't fault VU - although they may want to re-look at who they use for Title Companies in Massachusetts. My Loan Specialist, Danielle Bourne was awesome. She did most of the communicating with me, checked in by phone to inform me that she was a real person and cared about my file. She was knowledgeable and genuine, which is tough to find in the service industry these days. The Loan Officer, Kaleb was informative, short, sweet and to the point which I like. The only thing I would recommend is that it would have been helpful to ask me up front if I had a well and a septic system. I did not find out until about 2-3 weeks after the process had started that I would need a well water test and septic inspection. I was scrambling a little bit to get those done as the companies were very busy, so it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. That's really the only thing I would have changed.Overall, I would do business with VU again. The website interface is fantastic. You always know where everything stands and you have a team of people working to get everything done for you.

Veterans United is a first class organization! In my experience, I was encouraged to look for that dream home. Then reach out and get it. Everyone you encounter with Veterans United will treat you with the utmost respect and professionalism. Making that call to Veterans United definitely was the right thing to do!

Veterans United was easy to use, and the the staff is very friendly, everybody worked hard to make the home buying experience relatively painless.

Honestly, I started with all the to-do’s when we first got our offer accepted, then I didn’t hear anything for what seemed like a week or two, and the week of the closing I got a request for additional documentation, that I still haven’t received the day after COE.

I rate Veterans United 5 stars! The customer service was great. I would recommend others to please give Veterans United a try. You will not regret it. The process was easy. Just make sure to turn in all documents when asked for.
