Our entire experience with veterans United was the easiest part of our home buying process. At no time were we left wondering how to move forward. We always ended phone calls or email threads with more answers than questions. We never felt worried or alone when it came to needing help with our process and always felt comfortable and confident in our home buying process.

We want to thank Veterans United, our loan officer Jennifer Stewart and our coordinator Dana Derrick for all the work they put in to help us with our home loan. I would highly recommend Veterans United in the future. Thanks so much.

it was straight forward and easy

Thank you ALL so very much for all you do! You are sincerely appreciated!

The process was easy overall the app was easy to use and explained what was needed to start and end the home loan process. Would recommend Veterans United for any veteran looking to buy a home.

Great home buying and selling experience . Went smooth both ways.

Being a first time homebuyer was exciting yet very stressful and scary. Karol and the VU team made everything as seamless as possible, answered every question, and had solutions for every roadblock. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking to purchase a home.

Jeff Gilkerson stayed with us as our loan officer for six months or more until we’d got our financing issues in order. He didn’t give up on me or my family, checked in constantly, and offered a friendly ear because buying a home is such a stressful process. We would talk for 30-45 minutes and Jeff never rushed me off the phone and it showed me him and his team truly cared about our efforts to get into the right home for me and my family. We appreciate all the hard work of all the employees at Veterans United and for treating us like a friend and not a dollar sign.

10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10,10!

They are good at what they do and seem to have your best interest at heart. Easy to work with.

Communication process from Hilary could improve. She indicated mixing our papers into another folder. Calling end of business day requesting documents by end of business day. Requesting same documents more than once. When purchasing out of state, told all set to close and then a call requesting more documents. Felt process too stressful, much more than previous home purchases.
Response from Veterans United
Hi John,
Thanks again for the feedback—it’s important to us, and I’m so sorry to hear that the communication during your homebuying process added unnecessary stress. It sounds like it was a really frustrating experience, especially with the last-minute document requests and repeated asks for the same paperwork. That’s definitely not the smooth, straightforward process we aim to provide.
Buying a home, especially out of state, can already be a stressful experience, and it’s disappointing to know we added to that instead of helping to make things easier for you. We’d love to dig into what happened and see how we can improve going forward. If you’d like to chat more, feel free to reach out to my team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
