Great people who are willing to help you through the process.

Eric and his team are wonderfully responsive and will work together with you to get you to close. If your home requires flood insurance, just be careful in this area - I had to read the fine print of Veteran's United policies on flood insurance, in order to avoid getting an extra $100k of flood insurance on my home, because my homeowner's insurance was higher than the flood. I believe it was only because of Eric and his team that they listened to me, however, and corrected that misconception with some of the team members' on the back end. Other than the issues with flood insurance, which is a pretty specific scenario, my experience with Veteran's United, and specifically Eric Herman and Erin West, was smooth and easy, and I really appreciated all of the guidance they provided throughout the process. I would probably seek them out again.

It was good

I really enjoyed working with Bethany as well. She was always available to me when I needed her.

We had not moved on 42 years and we had a very positive experience with Veterans United!

Melissa and her assistant Rachel really made my refinance experience enjoyable. I had been working with a local credit union refi "specialist" who seemed to know absolutely nothing about a VA streamline IRRRL-Interest rate reduction refinance loan, which requires virtually no documentation. Credit union guy wanted income verification, savings, checking acct statements, stock&bond holdings, last 2 yrs fed & state taxes...none of which is req'd. I knew I was dealing with an amateur. Melissa and Rachel were the exact opposite; KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL, TEAM PLAYERS.

The staff was extremely knowledgeable and guided me every step of the way. They are very helpful and responsive. This process was very easy and pleasant. I cant say enough good things about the team that worked with me.

They need to be more aware of the specific paperwork they need, making sure that they involve the buyer and wife of buyer in emails. Make sure that they check all information is correct and what is needed before the buyer leaves out of state if need be. It took more than 30 days for all paper work to be done. I will say they were very polite and respectful .
Response from Veterans United
Richard, Thank you for allowing us to have some insight into your recent loan experience. We agree and always strive to have our loan teams keep a wide communication line for all parties. We would like to learn more if you would like to share it. Our client advocate team is always available to discuss any details further. Thank you again and thank you fro your service.
This is our THIRD time around with Veterans United and we couldn't be happier!

always triple check the paperwork

The most memorable experience we had was with the credit specialist. He was pretty awesome in quickly getting our credit where it needed to be for pre-approval. We were literally pre-approved days after working with the credit specialist. Also the overall communication process form pre-approval to closing was excellent.

When I was looking for homes in the summertime, sellers were overlooking my VA loan bids. Jeremy helped me change my loan type to conventional. I finally got a home for me and my boys, and still met my monthly price point. He even came to my title closing. Great person!

Ted and his staff are good people. I show a genuine concern for you outside the loan process. i feel they went to all steps to get me the best loan rate.
