Selling my home in Ohio was somewhat unpleasant,.....buying my home in Texas with Veterans United....well just couldn't be anymore pleasant. Aside from one particularly curt Escrow Lawyer at the Title Company, my home buying experience was wonderful.
If you are self employed, don't do it! I am not sure what the experience is like if you are not, but I suspect it is a drawn out process even in that case. I was not aware of the high fee they charge until I was too far along. There has to be many easier lenders to deal with that aren't pencil pushers.

After shopping for hours and comparing multiple lenders I untimely selected VU for my re-finance loans. While most of the reputable lenders offer competitive APRs and fees it was the customer service and care from my Loan Office Mr. Danny Freeman that lead me to choose VU. We chose VU to re-fi out primary home and Danny went way beyond what I expected in providing us with a smooth and streamlined loan process. So when it came to re-fi our investment property it was a simple decision to sat with VU and Danny. In today's digital environment it's rare to have that old time personal interaction. Danny was with us and accessible to us almost 24/7 and was able to accommodate 1 one 1 communication despite my odd work hours. If I had a 3rd property I would choose VU again. Shop around and compare rates, VU is comparable to all others, but you can't beat the service. Thanks Danny and the entire VU team. VU is great, the speak veteran language and make you feel important. Where the other TV lenders are only interested in pushing you into a quick signature. They are not a high pressure company. Most of the other guys try to scare you into singing with them by telling you that rates will go up or that competitors cant match their rates VU offers to review and match most all the other lenders offers. They were patient and seems to truly care about me and my needs. They even looked at other options outside of VA backed loans. I believe they wanted me to get the best deal possible even if it was not from their company, that is rare in today's economy.
