The realtor that was assigned to my team was really bad. It seemed like I was expected to do everything to find a home on my own. He was unprofessional. In regards to the paperwork near the closing, the ball was really dropped. My closing had to be delayed 2 hours because the paperwork was not at the title company. I ended up having to call senior management 40 minutes before the delayed appointment to get the paperwork there. No one on my team were answering their phones during this time either. I had the inspections scheduled within a week of the purchase agreement. It felt like the wait for the appraisal was excessive and the appraisal along with the final paperwork was left to the last minute. I wasn't given proper time to go over any of the paperwork at the end. There also seemed to be a disconnect between my realtor and my team about closing costs.
This was a challenging yet unique case for myself and the VU staff. They rose to the challenges and help make my home ownership a reality. They really did go above and beyond for me.
I didn't know how to start the process, but I saw the ad from Veterans United and I'm very glad that I chose them. I've bought houses before, but Veterans United made the process much easier. They did all the work necessary. They found the reality company, made sure that all of our ducks were in a row, and helped with every step and detail.
My overall experience with Veterans United was great. The entire process went smoothly, and everyone was helpful and professional. Communication was good, my questions were always answered, and I felt supported throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend Veterans United to other veterans and military families.
