Matt Istwan has always been outstanding when it comes to helping my family and I live our dream of owning our own home. Through this whole process of refinancing our loan we were definitely not the easiest people to locate and contact due to our hectic schedule of trying to manage 6 children 5 of them school age but he kept reaching out and made sure that everything needed to accommodate our needs were met in an extremely timely fashion. I hope whoever reads this hopefully will ease your mind. I really dont trust alot of people outside of my home especially when dealing with life long business commitments but I trust Matt whole heartedly and I would say feel safe because you're in extremely great and caring hands.

Overall, the processed worked because im in a home, but the stress of this move, plus buying a house was awful and when i tell people everything that happened most of their jaws drop. Even people that have used veterans united before.

Started out great... then started circling the drain, rapidly.
- Lead lender went on leave, which is great. Everyone needs a break.
- Secondary lender was hard to reach.
- Msgs left for primary lender and/or secondary lender... Returned call by Transaction Coordinator.
- Requested that loan match appraisal... told by Transaction Coordinator they would contact realtor to confirm. *This never happened. Asked about it one week prior to closing. Sellers would not take offer. This almost killed the deal. Our realtor was kind enough to pay the difference out of his commission.
- All and all, each member of this team was very pleasant and easy to talk to, when able to reach. Still, I wouldn’t and will not recommend/use this company in the future.

I would 100% recommend going with this company. People are envious of the ease, communication, speed, and extremely Low rate I was able to receive with Veterans United. My own bank wanted the opportunity to offer a home loan, but when I told them the interest rate I was getting with VU they basically said never mind.

We had a good experience with Joe. He would answer our questions quickly. He also would respond via text, phone call, and email. He responded to things timely.We had many issues with our loan coordinator, Markita Rosenberg. She never called back even when we left multiple voicemails. She never returned calls from Progressive our home owners insurance company. They had to go through me to get questions answered which I feel is extremely inappropriate. She did not give straight answers via email. She did not respond to emails timely. I felt the communication was extremely poor and I was not pleased with that. However, I'm glad we were still able to pse on time.
