This was my first home buying experience and all I can say is. WOW. My team was there for me for anything I needed. I started this process with VU by building my credit. The underwriting process was beyond painful. I would meet everything on the checklist, then something new would be added. We ended up staying in motels for nearly a week with 4 cats and three dogs because the underwriter couldn’t commit to clear us for closing, even though we met the requirements at every step of the process.If I ever purchase a home in the future, I’m not sure I would want to use Veterans United.

Hearing that a reinspection is needed can cause delays as well but unfortunately, if it is marked as needed on the appraiser that is a regulation with which we must comply.
