Sent me an escrow overpayment refund check that didn’t clear when I tried to deposit it. My bank sent me a bounced check fee due to the Veterans United check not clearing. I contacted Veterans United and submitted a refund request and VU refused to reimburse me for the fee which THEY caused. I will never recommend your company or use you again.

The team was informative at every step of the process. They were responsive when I had questions. They made sure I always felt confident in what was happening. I also loved the ease of the online portal to communicate to-do items, and the document center was a great way to feel organized with all the documentation that needed to be sent in. I also liked the availability of additional information in the instructional videos to make sure I knew details about the mortgage and home buying process.

This was our very first home purchase and going into it we knew very little about the process. Not to mention starting the process from overseas. Everyone from our Veterans United team were extremely knowledgeable and helpful from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for more. Purchasing a house is a large and stressful undertaking however, our team made it as smooth as possible.

Veterans United was great my problem was the loan officer Jennifer Heishman was very frustrating her lack of communication, very difficult to get a hold of to answer any questions even our real estate agent struggled to get any sort of response to emails, text messages, or voicemails. I also get like she was very unorganized asking for same paperwork multiple times, we closed late mostly because the night before our “original scheduled” closing date she was still asking he for paperwork because she didn’t previously review what she had. Very frustrating and stressful process with Jenn especially because she just wouldn’t respond or call me back. When I would finally get a hold of her she would respond rudely and have a annoyed tone in her voice. I would recommend searching for another loan officer that communicates and understand how this is a stressful process for the buyers and it doesn’t take long to respond to a simple email something as simple as confirming she received important paperwork.
