I think veterans United has a very simple process that was really thought out. I loved how I could submit everything electronically and the instructions were very easy to understand. But I think the loan officers are relying on the simplified process a little too much. It about 90% of the process is easy because everything is done online but that 10% where the loan specialist or loan officer has to get involved was not so good. Not sure if it was because we were in different time zones or because I was buying a home at a distance but I wish the closing part of the process would have gone a lot better. There were unreliable people being hired that didn’t communicate, information I was supposed to know wasn’t being communicated, documents I needed to provide wasn't being communicated, my package wasn’t reviewed, and the signing of the closing documents needs to be simplified more. When I got sent the documents via mail I didn’t really know where to sign, I was guessing, how to sign the document using a POA instructions should be the very first page of the closing package not page 50. Overall the buying process was very easy, just the closing portion was when I was getting really frustrated with everyone involved. I would recommend to my friends and family.

They are great if you are active service member. Can work with you over long distances and very thorough with their documents. Make it clear and easy to navigate. Always found them very trustworthy.
Their electronic portal is efficient and easy to use. Much better than printing and signing everything!
I would not go with any other VA lender.

Although, Dylan Roebuck, a client advocate, stepped in when we called to talk to a supervisor. It was for fear of our loan not closing on time and the multiple paperwork errors. He got things going faster and more efficient. And we closed before the new year.
