If I have any reservations it was may be with the underwriting. We received some initial disclosure statements during the process. The first two were the same and showed an amount we were prepared to pay for at our close of escrow. However, the final disclosure came in a few days before the official closing date and was $1800 higher that previously cited. We were fortunate that we had the funds, but it was a bit of a shock. Other than that, the overall process was very good.

The process was surprising, due to the "horror stories" everyone always seems to talk about - we didn't have any of those. Every stage of the process was either hassle or next to hassle free. We had most of our paperwork prepared and ready to submit with minimal waiting time. Your home loan team noticed and were appreciative of that fact.
Everything went smooth and quick. At the end of everything we actually looked at each other and asked, "that's all we had to do?"
We have moved into our brand new to us house, and have been working on emptying the numerous boxes we have!

If you are getting a traditional VA Loan Veterans United are probably going to be able to meet your expectations to a high degree. For Jumbo VA loans, or retirement income calculations over and above those limits you may want to do some intensive comparisons and know what you are getting into.
