They would reach out daily via email call or text, to ensure everything was on track and I was up to date with the changes. The online process was really easy as I was doing most of it through my phone the first few weeks. I honestly felt like they truly wanted to help my family on a personal level and not only from the business side. Every persons experience is different, and my first couple interactions left me thinking I was falling into the same category as the reviews I had been reading online. Then I got handed off to a loan officer that went above and beyond, it was was of the smoothest, best transactions I have ever had. I can say as a first time home buyer, I will sleep soundly at night knowing that I was in good hands and that Veterans United took care of me. Communication could have been better with Matt’s team but he was great to get me answers when I needed them.
I had a great experience with Veterans United Home Loans and would recommend anyone to give them a try.
Only a small snag was around closing cost, there were 3 emails that said final closing costs. So it felt like they were the actual final closing cost, if it wasn't the final it felt like it should have said estimate or non-final closing cost. So future users don't have to go to the bank again to get another cashier check or do another wire transfer and may be possibly incur additional costs. This is the only issue we had in the entire process, otherwise we had stellar support and were kept greatly informed.
