This was my first time purchasing a home. I was very hesitant because I knew it was going to be a long process and probably stressful. My Loan Officer, Assistant and Real Estate Agent made everything extremely smooth, stress free and fast. All my questions and concerns were immediately answered when I had them and they went out of their way to ensure I could get the home I wanted. Thank you Veterans United!

I would highly recommend Veterans United to any veteran who is looking to purchase a home. Fast approval in getting the loan and will work with you even if you feel your credit is not good. Didn’t think I could get approved because I have used the V A on a previous home purchase. But they will walk you through the process in showing you how to get it done. My wife and I are TRULY grateful to Darin, Kayla, Theresa(realtor), and the whole Veterans United team.

Thank you all for all your help! And I will definitely continue fo refer people to y’all.

The home buying experience less daunting and fast moving! Call them as you may be quite surprised at what they are able to do..

My experience obtaining a VA loan with Veterans United was exceptional. My loan team was experienced, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. They were able to meet an accelerated closing which was greatly appreciated. I would not think about using a different lender for future needs. You will not be sorry if you decide to work with Veterans United.

Veterans United are absolutely the best. They made this experience enjoyable and easy to understand.

While I am appreciative we closed our loan with Veterans United, this process was not good. The pros: the online system of notifications and to dos is extremely efficient. The lighthouse program is super helpful. We had some financial issues in our past and was advised that if we waited until June we would be pre approved. I was extremely upfront with my concerns, went through the Lighthouse program and we moved forward in June and were preapproved and made our offer. This was mid June. We had to wait until past September 1 to close to ensure our credit was seasoned 12 months. We set our closing for September 3. There was virtually no communication from our loan officer unless we prodded for updates. Then there would be a little burst of activity and then nothing again, never anything proactive. mid August we were conditional approved and told that the only things left were waiting until September to close and some third party items. The following week, which was August 23, 10 days before closing, the loan officer said the underwriters “didn’t like our file”. We’ve gone all this way to find out we might not be approved, 10 days from our close when this could have been shared a month or more earlier? There were three other closings dependent on our closing, and they said they could do nothing until sept 3 our day of closing, to rerun our file and see if it would pass automated underwriting and if it didn’t they weren’t sure if we would be approved. Luckily it did and we still closed by sept 6 but not without putting us and three other families through two weeks of worry. We have moved into a small town where everyone knows each other so if it hadn’t closed my reputation in the town would be bad before I even started living there if it hadn’t closed.

Veterans United is a great place to get your VA Loan from. I had an excellent experience.

If you want a VA Loan you to call this people.

They should continue with the good job.

Buying a home with Veterans United was a literal breeze! As first time homebuyers, we were made to feel comfortable immediately. Our loan specialist Chris was patient, knowledgeable, and always available. I would not hesitate to recommend Veterans United to any homebuyer.

I didn't even know my loan was finalized till I received info from Pioneer Title Company. The loan process started off good with Devin after that total lack of communication. I supplied all the info requested for them to give a estimated house payment but they failed to use it or correct the estimate. Using $350 for a annual insurance cost was good to show me a low monthly payment but it was false. I did not find out that they did that till after the loan was in the closing process.
Response from Veterans United
Robert, we apologize for any miscommunication regarding the estimates we provided you. Insurance costs can vary greatly even in the same geographic area. We will look for ways to continue to make our estimates as accurate as possible until the final numbers are received during the approval process. Please contact our Client Advocate team if you wish to discuss anything else about your home purchase.
