It was a pleasant experience dealing with Veterans United.I was a realtor for 18 years, and loan officer for 5 years in California. I find that they have excellent office procedures. They are the best mortgage company that I dealt with. Brian, my loan officer, provided great service.Very professional and transparent with his client. Has multiple assistance who are friendly, helpful, and very organized. I highly recommend this company.

My experience with Veterans United was outstanding. They are so patient and kind and knowledgeable. The portal used to communicate and upload documentation is so easy and user friendly. I can’t say enough positive words. Thank you Corey and everyone at Veterans United.

While all of our personal financial situations are different, if you are on the fence about applying for a VA loan at Veterans United, do it. You will be paired with an excellent team and will work with you all the way. While, I can't compare Veterans United to any other VA lenders as this is the first time using my VA benefits to purchase a home (all the other loans were conventional). I can say, from the hundreds of VA lenders and banks out there, I cannot believe there are any as good, efficient, and committed to getting a loan to the title company for funding than Veterans United. Veterans United is hands down one of the most professional and dedicated financial institutions I have ever done business with. They should be a model for others to follow. At no point did I feel I was left in the dark, communication from the loan team was constant. If there was something that was needed, they asked right away. If I had a questions, they answered right away. If my realtor had a question, the loan team took the time to directly speak with my realtor. It was never perceived to be an inconvenience reaching out to Veterans United. Keep up the great work VU and a special thanks to my loan team, Travis Ward, Austin Burton, and Nick Kutz).Jeff

Be your own best advocate. Even though they do a good job asking for necessary documentation, ask about closing, ask if your desired close date is going to be met and if not, what else you can do to move it along. You will not be allowed to speak directly to the underwriters so lines communication can be broken once the package gets to that stage.
Response from Veterans United
Thank you for that wonderful advice James! We couldn't have said it better. Communication with your loan team is of the utmost importance in a home purchase. We're glad to know you're in your new home and wish you a happy future there.
