Thank you veterans united
Try other options first. Do a conventional loan if you can.
I cannot say enough good things about the team at Veterans United Home loans, they are always there for the homebuyer and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to any Veteran looking to purchase a home.
The Veterans United team made this a very easy process. From connecting me to a realtor in my area to final underwriting, each phase transitioned very smoothly. I was very pleased overall with the thoroughness of the Veterans United team. They were very clear in explaining the detail of everything, and were very clear on communicating the expectations of correspondence. As a first time home buyer, it was very nice to have a group that could take the time to explain things, and how they worked in the overall process.

I really appreciate the professionalism and honesty of Veterans United. The entire team we worked with through the loan process kept us informed and were very open and accommodating to our questions. The process went very smooth and I will definitely be recommending your services to everyone I know. You guys rock. Thanks. M. Battle
Be patient and let them work their magic!!
Matt Landis, Kayla Webb and the entire team at Veterans United Home Loans worked extremely hard in helping me to close on my home. As a veteran, I HIGHLY recommend them for any vet looking to close on a home. They provided me with fast and accurate service. They made me VERY PROUD!!
My Salute to you!!!
To new homebuyers..... Do your homework
Though Veteran's United apparently caters to military and veterans, they seem to have very limited knowledge of the lifestyle. They were very responsive up until we made an offer on a house and began the loan process. Our loan specialist, Neal Roeder, was responsive in the beginning to questions and concerns, but became harder to get in touch with toward the middle of the process. His 'transaction coordinator' Elaina O'Neal was absolutely horrendous to deal with. You can forget ever getting in touch with her, as she would only call back at the very end of the day, if at all. When I called with questions about documentation she requested, I would seldom get a returned call. Typically she would answer with snippy emails. Our realtor, insurance agent, title company employees all found it nearly impossible to get in touch with her.
Two days before we were due to close, she informed us that the sellers would need to scrape and repaint (!) exterior trim on the house. I am not sure what person in their underwriting department dropped that ball, but it delayed our closing date by nearly a week, and really frustrated everyone involved in the process.
I would whole heartedly recommend using a different lender. The only reason we actually used Veteran's United was because they were able to process a second tier VA loan where we were told by other lenders that it was not possible. If we are ever looking to buy another home, we will not be using their services. Service members and veterans deserve better than what this company provides.
I would highly recommend to any veteran seeking a mortgage.
Veterans United took about 90% of the stress of purchasing a home out of the equation. They made themselves readily available through advanced technology even providing a way to electronically sign documents. Veterans United did the majority of the leg work from start to finish even ordering inspections and appraisals. They kept our realtor in the loop as well making it process even easier. This was a great experience from start to finish and I can tell you this, I will never go anywhere else if we ever decide to purchase home again. Thanks Chris Holdman!
If you're a veteran seeking a home loan, I can't more strongly recommend using Veterans United. They are extremity accommodating and vested in helping you achieve your goal to own a home.
A great staff, knowledgeable and conscientious and always there for the potential home buyer.
To take a page from their book, I would like to thank them for their service.

We found Veterans United to be an outstanding company to do business with. Professional, knowledgeable, caring people, making the process easy and worry free.
Veterans United really made us feel comfortable throughout the loan process. I will definitely recommend them to all of my friends.
Luke Turner and Veterans United were the only ones who could get me to start the refinance process. I put my trust in them more than I would have for anyone else.
I would be very careful. At the end they change the numbers after closing and try to put more money into escrow than what is necessary. I had to fight to get money back. They kept wanting me to sign unncessary papers after closing.
Alot of mistakes.
