Veterans United and my loan manager made our entire home buying process, from the pre-approval letter to closing, a low stress event. The time from offer to close was less than 45 days. My loan manager, Lee Sattler, was professional and genuinely committed serving me and my family . He was always available to answer questions and he was proactive at every step. There were no surprises. Also, Veterans United’s origination fees were untouchable by either USAA or Navy Federal and I even received additional lender credits thanks to an excellent credit rating. Lastly, as an out of state buyer I was worried about possible last minute complications. Instead, on the day of closing a mobile notary came to my current home and I signed all the paperwork at my dinning room table with a cup of coffee. If you are in the market for a VA loan, you owe it to yourself to talk to Veterans United and I would ask for Lee Sattler.

Veterans United will be highly recommended from me to fellow veterans. I went ahead and got two preapprovals to weigh my options on rate- Navy Federal and Veterans United. Jessica Fitzgerald of Veterans United and her team (Harley Bailey) gave me a courtesy call within a couple hours of my preapproval and gave me wellness checks to see how I was doing throughout the time I was working with her til the day I closed on my house. NFCU gave me a courtesy call a couple days after my preapproval and a random check after I picked out my house and put in an offer. I started uploading my documents to see which rates would be better- NFCU's website to upload documents was very tedious and confusing versus Veterans United's site. NFCU had way too many drop down menu's and i gave up sending them my information. Veteran's United has a very easy site to navigate through and after getting a few random text and phone calls from Jessica and her team made me feel appreciated and I chose them over NFCU. I can see why Veterens United has really high customer service ratings. Thank you Jessica Fitzgerald and team for a wonderful first time home buying experience!

This was a thoroughly awesome experience dealing with VU. I would recommend veterans use VU every time. To tell the truth I was shocked how on top of things they were and how quickly and completely they answered all my many questions. My loan went thru quickly and without a hitch. VU always told me what was needed from me through their online "To Do List" system and I made sure to deliver what was asked quickly. All of this made the process extremely smooth and calming. I would use VU again and so should any veteran looking to buy a home.

Bill and Alycea are an amazing team of professionals to work with. This was our first home buying experience and I was really impressed how incredibly smooth they made the process. Bill was very straightforward from the start - if you listen to him and his suggestions- he gives you all the info you need to be successful. The whole process was very clear and transparent- we did use the lighthouse program and worked with Shawn Shackelford who checked in with me every month to make this possible. I really appreciated the lighthouse program. This was an A plus experience all around - Thank you Bill, Alycea and Shawn! I highly recommend this team and would use them again in a heartbeat !!!

The overall process with Christian and Andy was great there were times that it was overwhelming and they acknowledged when it was overwhelming and apologized for it. It wasn't anything that he did it was just sitting out the process of needing more items and stuff like that. Kathy from the get-go just didn't impress me when she said that she didn't have any more properties available and I had already found four other ones that we ended up going to see. I think one of them was already rented. I'm not sure how the process works as far as where the Realtors are able to search if they're able to search other websites and stuff but I just felt like from the very beginning she said there wasn't any more properties and there was plenty more. and at the very end when my parents went to do the final walk-through and she told us that the seller was going to leave the recliner, grandfather clock, coffee table and couch to my parents. My parents were so happy and they ended up taking the stuff that they said that they were going to leave behind which that wasn't her fault but if that was my clients I would have surprised them with a housewarming gift to apologize for the cruelness of the sellers. when I sent her a text telling her they went back on their word with the mentioned items. She just said yeah that was pretty messed up but nobody tried to compensate or do anything to apologize for my parents getting their hopes up and it just it could have been handled differently. Other than those issues with realtor and the process was done as smoothly as it could be and I am satisfied with my parents having their home that they've always wanted so I am happy about that :)
