As I mentioned before, everyone was fantastic. If there were bumps in the road, Veterans United made sure we got over them. We were always kept up to speed on every step of this process. As everyone knows, buying a house is one of the most stressful things you can do. Veterans United was able to ease some if not most of that stress. The staff I dealt with from the pre approval process, to my personal loan specialist and everyone in between was very professional and knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Where a lot of loan companies will give you a loan officer to help you, I had a whole team! The entire process was so easy. I loved the fact that I was able to log on at any time and check my "to-do list" to see what I needed to accomplish. Their website provides tutorials to help explain what to expect from beginning to end. Excellent for a first time buyer. I highly recommend this to every veteran.

Transaction went smooth until it didn’t. I ended up having to escalate to a team lead (who was great) to get answers in a timely fashion. As we got closer to closing date, it became harder to communicate with my loan team. Would get majority of replies through text or a voicemail later when time was most urgent. We didn’t close on time, which cost me an additional $400 out of pocket for uhaul/storage and I had to waive my earnest money for the contract extension. I was not confident at this point but things got expedited after voicing my concerns. Apparently this was due to an inexperienced team member which is understandable. They apologized, owned up to it and finished the job.
I would advise anyone buying a home to use Veterans United Home Loan.
I would really be looking forward to working again with this team when I buy another home.
