Anyone who knows me, knows I have less than perfect credit. I started my home buying journey a year ago and instead of an immediate “no” I got “here’s Kristy, she’s fantastic, she’ll get your credit fixed”. Oh, at no cost to me, by the way. Fast forward a year my credit was where it needed to be, the loan team stayed on top of everything to make the underwriting go well, the signing go well, the appraisals. It was never pressure either, they had me feeling comfortable every time. Everything they needed was so easy. I got consistent, timely updates and all I had to do was color in the lines. If you’d told me a year ago that in a years time, I would own a home, I would have laughed. Thankfully Veterans United didn’t and put me in a home I love!
