Having to buy a home while overseas and not being in the USA for over a decade was not a thrilling thought. Rest assured, though, this team that VU assembled made everything as easy as possible and did an outstanding job. Thank you team!!!!
Overall, our experience with Veterans United was very positive. We did have one thing that didn't go as well as we hoped. We were closing on a sale of a house, buying another and the sellers of the 2nd house were closing on their build all in the same day (waterfall closures). Sale of our home went off no problems, and title agency for home we were buying confirmed funds were wired. It took several hours for Veterans United to fund the purchase of our new home causing us to sit at title agency for several hours which also delayed the third closing.
The underwriters had their job to do, sometimes redundant, but my purchasing team stepped in and made the purchase less stressful. I really liked the (To do checklist), it kept my on track.
