Great overall. Shout out to the loan coordinator Lyndsey Ripper as person who made me feel like I made the right decision the most by going for this loan with VU. Both her and Daniel are excellent people and I hope good things for them.

Hrlpful and friendly.

The way the loan officer explains things and alway there for any question I had was amazing.

With me it takes a village and for the above team and more to keep it professional and keep me in line! I have no words!

Just wanted to give a heads up that the entire team that worked on this process was great. I wish I knew you folks were around 20 years ago when I bought my first house. You folks are doing a tremendous job as far as I am concerned.

I would strongly encourage any of my veteran brothers and sisters to give Veterans United a try. They won't let you down!

Austin, Dennis and the team at Veterans United did an excellent job 👌 with helping me with my first home purchase. Bravo Zulu!!!

Painless!! We didn't have to lift a finger, it truly was a pleasure.

I have made Veterans United my place to do Veteran loans and refinances. The professionalism and customer service is the best.

Gabe was very professional throughout the process and very helpful as well i would highly recommend him and his team to any veteran who is looking to buy a home

Experience first-hand why 340,352 homeowners give us a perfect score!

I can't thank the whole team enough, they made this process so easy and make sure we knew everything. We never felt blindsided with information and always could reach out and get a timely response

This was actually my second time to use VU and having Justin’s team a second time showed me the consistency they have for their customers, even when we are cranky.

Great communication between Jared and Brittney. Kept us informed of any changes and updates. It was good working with them.

Lot of issues I went through as a first time buyer. Biggest obstacle was the underwriting process and the communication between all parties involved. The constant submission of entering paystubs for over a month span to close was unnecesary, i think. The instructions were not very clear until after mistakes were made. Detailed instructions were then provided with examples or references where this should have been provided at the beginning of the process.updates were not sent in a timely manner to the customer or all parties involved. More issues arose after we had a closing date. Only to be informed to resubmit yet another set of documents that were previously submitted delaying our closing date.Just not a good experience as a first time buyer to go through!
Response from Veterans United
Hi Varian,
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m really sorry to hear that the process was so frustrating, especially as a first-time homebuyer. The back-and-forth with paystubs and the delays in communication sound like a major headache, and that’s definitely not the experience we want for our customers.
I appreciate you pointing out the confusion around the instructions and how it impacted your closing. We strive to make things as clear as possible, but it sounds like we missed the mark here. I’ll be sure to share your feedback with our team to help improve communication and make sure we’re setting better expectations from the start.
If you’d like to talk more about what happened or need any further assistance, please reach out to our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’d love the chance to help however we can.
