Caleb and Samantha were very patient with us and worked as diligently to get us into our house as possible. Communication could not have been better with these two.

when I first applied to Veterans United for a home loan there were several liens on my credit report that were incorrectly placed there by calif franchise tax board. Jeff Ousley from LIghthouse was outstanding in his help in my getting them removed, and assisting me in doing things to get my credit score up. would not have been able to qualify without his help.

Absolutely no communication on their end. Forms requested multiple times. Should have gone with another company.

Clearly the best experience that I've ever had with financing a home. The process was very clear and the tracking was great.

My personal experience with the staff and members of Veterans United Home Loan was simply outstanding in every sense. They were very professional, courteous, and most of all, super-effective in communications. Without any doubts, you could readily tell they results-oriented & goal-driven in all their business dealings.

Very helpful

The whole process was easy and I felt I was informed with the latest information at all times. The website and was very intuitive.

Very professional, with a heaping spoon of concern and kindness. Just down to earth people, trying to help others.

Up to the first scheduled closing date (we had four), I would have rated Veteran's United all 10's across the board. VU made the process of using my VA benefits to buy a home remarkably easy. We were frustrated at the end of the process because the final closing ended up being moved back ten days which created a hardship. The delay would have been understandable if anything major had been missing. That was not the case. Every item that caused three closing dates to be canceled was minor and easily could have been anticipated well before closing. For example, three days after the first scheduled date had slipped (and late in the afternoon before the second scheduled closing) we were told that our verification of employment documents were too old - they couldn't be more than 90 days old. Why, then, weren't they requested again once they "expired"? When I asked Sarah about it, I was told that it was the underwriter's responsibility to identify missing items. Shouldn't it be the loan teams' responsibility to gather all needed documents then the underwriter's job to verify everything is in order for the loan? Prior to the closing timeframe I found VU to be a remarkably efficient and professional company. I was disappointed that the critical endpoint was mishandled.

The process was very straight forward, and was helped along by an Outstanding Loan Team!
