Communication was great up until receiving the pre-approval. After that, various emails and calls were made and there would be no response until 3 days after, half of the time no response at all. There were documents that were overlooked multiple times, causing us to scramble for them. There was no sense of urgency when it got close to closing time, and especially NO urgency after the closing date was missed. It felt like we were doing the jobs for everyone else. We will never use Veteran's United again. As a company who specializes in helping Veteran's, we did not feel helped or appreciated. Customer relations had to be contacts three times due to the lack of urgency, quality customer service, and communication from Crystal Remmel, Rick Bridgman, and Nyk Farris.

3 months ago I was not sure if I was going to be able to purchase a home. I filled out some info online and immediately received a phone call back. I had a couple things to clean up on my credit, so they directed me to their lighthouse program. These guys told me exactly what i had to do to get my preapproval. Within a couple weeks, I was preapproved and able to submit an offer on my home. My Veterans United loan team worked closely with my realtor and I to make the journey to closing fun and easy. I would absolutely recommend Veterans United. They want you to get the home of your dreams.
The additional documentation required by the Underwriter is ridiculous. I will probably not go with Veteran's United for my next loan simply for this reason. The Underwriter wanted paperwork that, in my opinion, was superfluous to documentation already provided. Additionally, the Underwriter did not apply what I would consider "reasonableness" is assessing the documentation. It appeared He/She was simply operating off of a "checklist". There was no personal service from the Underwriter.
