Started in October didn't finish until mid December. No clear and consice guidance. Things had to be done multiple times. Absolutely frustrating
Response from Veterans United
Hi Benjie,
I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. A process that stretches out for months, with unclear guidance and repeated tasks, is absolutely frustrating—and it’s not the smooth, streamlined experience we want for anyone. I can imagine how stressful that must have been for you.
I’d really appreciate the opportunity for my advocates to learn more about what happened and see where we fell short. If you’re open to it, please reach out to us directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, but you can leave a message anytime, and we’ll follow up as soon as possible.
Veterans United understood our needs and wants. This was an outstanding team making themselves available for us when we needed them.

Veterans united made the entire home buying experience very smooth!

the team was great checking in on me and helping any way they could all the way thru

My entire loan team was beyond incredible. If it wasn't for Anna's expertise, I would still be sitting here thinking that I can't qualify for a home period. She gave me a very simple 3-point plan to get my credit raised enough to qualify. You Go Girl!!Aaron and Anthony are my hero's for getting us to the finish line! They walked me through every detail and were available 24/7 to answer any questions I had. They also never seemed to get irritated when I would ask millions of questions or be on the verge of a breakdown. The online to-do list is probable my favorite part about this process. It was very simplified and easy to work with. THANK YOU Anthony, Aaron, & Anna! Your stellar job has earned Veterans United a LIFELONG customer!

Everybody involved in the team was super awesome from start to finish. I would 100% recommend all veterans to go thru with the same process. Great to have and any questions answered immediately without wait. 10 outta 10 all around

As a veteran family, we truly appreciate the work and effort that VU has provided!

I understand the home-buying process is long and strenuous. That being said, we had a 90-day contract to close. Why were we waiting till the very last moment to collect the paperwork? If this was a 45-day close, we would not have made it. The whole idea of a 90-day close was to be finished with the loan process so my wife and I could get married without having to deal with the stresses of gathering paperwork. Yet this process was pushed off till the very end. Overall, I am very happy with Allie and the process. But she is the only reason why I didn't leave Veterans United.
Thanks,
Clayton L

Ready to see for yourself?
Experience first-hand why 351,293 homeowners give us a perfect score!
I was happy with loan terms.
The entire team was very attentive to my questions and concerns.
We closed on time and both parties were very happy.
The seller also was a pleasure to work with.

The issue that I had throughout the process was Clint's assistant Brandon. He never treated me bad, however, I did not like his attitude when it came to closing. It was delayed an hour or so because it had not been funded for documentation that had been sent to him two week or so prior to closing. Also, when the real estate called him to asked about funding at closing, he disclosed to Brandon that all parties were present and the real estate agent asked if he had looked over the pictures and receipts. He said that he just got to work. and the agent informed him that closing would be at 10am eastern time and Brandon stated that is not when he gets to work and that he just got in and he has to get settled and he would take a look, and he said it disrespectful. The real estate agent had to get a supervisor involved and then we had to do some more paperwork to ensure the loan was funded. I feel like this all could have been avoided, and the extended time was unnecessary. Clear to close in my mind is that everything is ready to go. Overall, this was a great experience and I would not trade it for anything. The staff from the beginning was great. Great customer service, great support, and they were on top of the game. I have purchased four homes and hands down this was the best experience ever. Jason and Clint superseded them all. Thank you all for your support. Brandon also did a great job ensuring that I received things in a timely manner, he just seems cutthroat at time. Again, thank you all for a great experience and helping to get a great home. Best Regards.
