Thank you for the feedback Daniel. Your appraiser is assigned directly by the VA and is outside of the lenders control. We do understand that if there is a delay on your appraisal it will cause issues with other parts of your loan process. You may have a lot of info you have to uncover, but your loan rep really helps you as needed. They will walk you through or help you find what you need. They will refer you to the resources you need.
They were up front with every part of the process. Love the VU website, it made everything so easy to access and clearly states what paperwork you need to upload.

To begin with most realtors cringe when you say you are pre-approved on a VA loan. We were fortunate that our Agent was very familiar with not only VA loans but as luck would have it had worked with and highly recommended Veterans United. It was then that I told him I was making him the point of contact and it was then that the loan process went smoothly. Important that you have an agent that is very familiar with VA borrowing or you could run into some resistance and difficult process. I had purchased 2 homes with VA loans the last one 30 yrs ago before our current home, times have changed. The online process is wonderful and even better if you have a knowledgeable lender that doesn't just say they offer VA loans, they really do VA loans and that is all Veterans United does. I would highly recommend Veterans United over any other lender and no matter where you are at.

Wow! Veterans United exceeded expectations at every step of the way during our recent home buying experience. We found them to be very honest, trustworthy, helpful, and considerate which were highly important elements to us. Big box companies like USAA warned us during the comparison shopping process of online retailers and a lack of personable customer service. This was absolutely not the case for Veterans United. I felt like I had 24 hour access to our agent via a variety of communications means. We didn't even need to introduce ourselves on the phone because we recognized incoming phone numbers and the sounds of one another's voice! I comparison shopped with three different companies and Veterans United provided THE BEST customer service of the three. The Veterans United electronic system was very easy to navigate and worked well despite a number of connectivity challenges on my end. Lance Nilson of Veterans United helped us overcome obstacles with ease, leading me to think that these normal home buying obstacles are merely expected small hurdles, or that Lance is some sort of super hero in disguise.
