As we reviewed the closing doc, there were questions on where our $1500 allowance for the water heater replacement was located. It was not a transparent line item. Even at closing, a portion of that figure was included as a credit for us as a notary fee which was not appropriate and the title company deleted it. The title company explained the other part of the allowance which was our fee for settlement, which was entirely understandable when explained; otherwise, it made no sense.
I found Veterans United to be very professional and helpful in the mortgage loan process. We had some slightly confusing communications at times but managed to successfully navigate the process and close on the home I wanted in the time frame I had hoped to.
