Thanks to the team at Veterans United, Financing was the easiest step in buying my home. Kim and Danielle were more than amazing to work with and they proactively worked with me to make buying a home a positive experience.

Worked with both me and my wife every step of the way.

I felt very welcomed from the first day I came into the office, all the way until my closing day. That's exactly what I expect from a business and VU is probably the only company that has ever executed it so well.

Although at first, there was a communication problem with the realtor, I told Ms. Phyllis what my issue was, it was corrected quickly and everything went great from that point.

Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable with the processes needed to secure the loan.

We had a wonderful experience with VU with our refinance of our NC home. Based on this experience, We decided to use them again for the purchase of our new home. Everything was going so smoothly until the afternoon on Friday before closing on Monday. Things that should have been taken care of weeks prior had not been taken care of and we were threatened with the possibility of not closing on Monday morning. Our moving truck had just left our Florida home and was in route to the new home in Kentucky with everything we owned. Because they dropped the ball and didn't do their job, we were told we needed to contact the IRS and ask for transcripts. It was around 4 pm on a FRIDAY when we received a message and told we needed the vital information. Our closing had been scheduled for Monday over a month before. It would literally take a miracle to get this information from the IRS on a Friday afternoon! We were told by Eric that they requested the transcripts but they wouldn't make it until Wednesday. We were told by Janeanne that it was received but put in a folder and never looked at which caused the oversite. It ended up getting pushed through for us to close but because of all of their mistakes the lawyer could no longer see us to close. We ended up closing on Wednesday which is the day that VU was trying to get us to close previously. Today is Monday, four days after closing, and we have received a call from equifax wanting to do a conference call with USAA to get information for VU. FOUR DAYS AFTER CLOSING!!! That whole team dropped the ball and caused us tremendous stress!!! Home buying is stressful regardless but what they did was avoidable. We will not use VU in the future and we will never recommend VU to anyone.

The process was so easy it was almost too good to be true.

high level of competence all the way down the line never had to worry about things being done on time and the right way the first time.

It was execptional because of Tonya Dawson.

Jason Bals really went to bat for us helping to get loan in a timely period. He followed up with me often every step of the way. The Taylor family thanks Jason for all the work he has done for us..

smooth

We believe communication from the mainland office to the Hawaii office could have been more clear with regard to acceptable language in the VA Addendum. There was some confusion which required that the Addendum be revised which caused delay and frustration for us.
