I did my due diligence when searching for a mortgage company; when I first came across VU I read up on reviews from many different sources. There were some pretty disturbing and negative reviews which were major cause of concern for me. I took these up with the loan assistant who was helping me during the first week of my contact with VU. She never dodged the questions or the issues I brought her. She answered them as plainly and honestly as she could. This paved the way for me to continue with VU. Overall, VU was just what we needed.
While Stefanie Snow was great to work with, the underwriter wasn't. There was to many redundant requests of documents. It shouldn't take a month from conditional loan approval to full approval. Tell your client what you need up front and after you get it DON'T keep adding additional items. This is your business and you should anticipate what needs to be requested.
