Words can't express my satisfaction and respect I have for my VU team. What I can say is that it was a smooth, straight forward and successful experience refinancing my home with them. From the bottom of my heart thank you all.
The entire team worked very hard to ensure our loan went all the way to closing. Thank you.
The name "Veterans United" implies that this institution is veteran friendly and is aware of the VA Loan process and details when using a VA Loan. This was not the case with my loan. VA Funding Fee exemption verification: I had to instruct the loan officer(s) on this process and then push the issue for them to file for the exemption. When Veterans United made the "clerical error" on my closing documents, the finger was pointed at the VA as not informing Veterans United of the funding fee exemption, even though Veterans United had this verification a month prior.Seller concessions verse Closing cost assistance (yes there is a difference). The lack of trust from Veterans United to me was astounding. Questioning "why" I paid my daughters credit card and accusing me of having debt that I was not disclosing. Veterans United contacted my insurance company to provide proof that I actually owned a separate property, vice requesting a copy of the title/deed from me to show my proof of ownership.
Everything was wonderful, easy, and time saving
