The loan officer was pretty good in the begging. He got my COE with no problem and answered all my questions. Then he handed it over to his assistant and the whole thing fell apart. I never got a list of things (documents) that would be needed. It was always this one here that one there. Several docs had to be sent more than once. Seemed very unprepared. When I asked about why we couldn't get a check off list of what's needed rather than asking me several times for different things they went on the defensive and tried to make excuses. Unprofessional, not good when majority of customers are Vets and know what it means to be accountable.
As a first time home buyer I was very anxious to make this home loan happen. We made several plans in accordance to our closing date. We were very eager and made sure to get everything we needed in as soon as possible. We made it a point to make sure nobody was waiting on us. As we were two days before our closing date we found out that we would not be closing on that date and were unsure if we were going to be closing at all. This left a very uneasy feeling with me and my wife. This was unacceptable to find out so close to our closing date. There was no warning that this could be the outcome of closing on our new home.
