When we decided to buy a house in Salisbury Md, I decided that I would approach three mortgage lenders for pre-approval; our local bank (Suntrust), a real estate company lender (Prestige) and an online lender (Veteran's United, VU). Each mortgage lender was knowledgeable and service oriented; but none could touch VU, with professionalism and immediate feedback to my many questions. From the initial contact thru closing on Friday, VU was efficient , and I knew that I could count on the loan officers.
The process should be smoother. Borrowers should be able to plan against the milestones of the process.
