Communication was poor. We requested "no escrow" but it was done anyway and when questioned was told "escrow is mandatory with the company." We don't know that unless we're told ahead of time. We were not given a lot of help with the technical part and papers sent had confusing technical language and were duplicated without an explanation of what they were. It seemed to be a problem that we (as seniors) did not text and do all of the other high tech things, and kept getting rushed to send stuff back. When papers were sent and there were questions, it took forever to get an explanation.

My experience with the Veteran's United Home Loan staff was the most professional and courteous business transaction/experience I have encountered (bar none). Everyone was polite, and extremely knowledgeable in their assigned area of responsibility. They never failed to return a call. It is unusual to be able to say "everyone and always" about an entire staff or business.

Ed caprio was the only positive thing about this process. He had to take two weeks for a family emergency... And in those two weeks none of the people in his support team checked his email followed up on his account or nothing so,when,it came time too close it was pushed back twice.... I blame his back up all,of them,dropped the ball

They went to bat and killed it. It was too easy. The only thing I would suggest would be possibly getting more than one doc at a time. Maybe you could say we need this that and this and it might speed things a little, but other than that, It was great
