In December 2006, I obtained a VA loan from Chase Bank. 9 months later we were transferred to Korea and after 13 months I had to medically retire. We wound up losing the house. In October of 2011, we had moved to Las Vegas. We tried to buy a home there and were told by a VA Home Specialist that we could still get a VA loan. We applied and everything was going good, and a week before we were to close. He advised us the VA turned us down. We lost money on the deal, but got back the flooring money we paid. We eventually bought a house in Las Vegas through FHA. We sold it when we moved back to Hawaii. When we decided to buy here, we thought we could only afford a home that cost more because of the down payment required and that we were still ineligible for a VA loan. Our realtor at the time recommend we call Cheryl and talk to her. I did and she assured me that we could still get a VA loan. I was skeptical because of my experience in Vegas, but Cheryl convinced me to apply and the rest is history. As a Vietnam Vet, it is really nice when you find someone to help a veteran. It's something we Vietnam Vets aren't used to. Kudos to Cheryl, and give her a big raise and bonus, she deserves it. And thank you Veterans United Home Loans.
This experience was as stress free as anything could be. I was really happy with everyone I dealt with.
Thank you for your help getting this done in a relatively painless manner.

I have only compliments for the team that I have been associated with.
We appreciate all the work from everyone involved. It just seemed like some of the paperwork was repetitive.
Durrell is one of the finest loan specialist that I have had the pleasure to meet and work with to accomplish my personal goals. I cannot rate her high enough. If there was a rating of 100, she would be 110. I was on the fence about refinancing after having a truly bad interaction with New Day. Durrell won me over and gained my trust which had been shaken. Thank to Durrell and her team, I am back on track and my finances are in a great place. Now I can contribute to my TSP and plan for my retirement.
Thank you for hiring professionals like Durrell! Without a doubt I will refer my friends to your service. Additionally, I will tell them how compared to New Day, the Veterans United family will really look out for the best interest of the customer and Veteran.
Lastly, thank you for your assistance in making my financial worries disappear.
Didn't use a realtor.
Thank You all you have all done a great job and we are so happy with our new home. Thanks again for all your hard work.
I used my own real estate agent.

The first time we were going to make the home loan last year we debated whether to go with a civilian bank or go with Veterans united and we were glad we decided to go with Veterans united. The people are excellent and we are delighted to have met them.
