I highly recommend at least contacting veterans united for a quote. I was impressed by the level of customer service and consideration of my time/schedule/preferences. Also updating with any changes immediately and making sure you are well informed and will answer any and all questions.

I previously avoided applying for a VA loan due to the multiple miles of red tape and loop holes in place. After speaking from a few other veterans in the last year and hearing their VA loans went through without many hassles, I reluctantly decided to give it a try. After working nearly three months to get our loan to closing, I have deduced that the VA loan system has not changed much from what I remember and that my colleagues that informed me got off lucky. Our loan officer Kat was very nice, cordial, polite and willing to help, but I believe this process involves too many individuals. We felt we had to re-supply the same info over and over, just to another individual in the chain. The whole process needs to simplified and better communication amongst the lending staff. We are happy to have this wrapped up as we nearly pulled the plug to pursue conventional lending.
