The whole team, from the loan officer to the real estate agent, was superb. If I had to personally choose who was going to help me through this experience, I could not have chosen anyone better than those who helped me. Ryan Stoll and Steve Brush are both top-notch individuals, and I am sincerely appreciative of their hard work and diligence!
Veterans United made buying my first home a realization of the American Dream. Its people like Brendan and companies like VU that made my enlistment into the military worth my time and sacrifice. Having a reliable company offer to help save me money on my mortgage was astounding...and worth every penny I will save for 30 years. Thank you Veterans United for being there for me and my family when I needed a lender to believe in me like I believe in my country.
Ashleigh Sumner and Amanda Park were very helpful and caring of my needs which were very appreciated during this stressful time. They were always there to answer my questions. I would strongly recommend them to help anyone go through the process of obtaining financing a home.
Thank you for making the home purchasing process as smooth as possible! We are grateful that VU, and all of its representatives, were able to help us make this process as easy and stress-free as possible!
I think the information needed should be standardized with little to no deviation. You should understand the hours people work and make one information request (I work nights and getting different information each day did nit allow me to sleep at all). Also, stick to the close date first given or change enough in advance so that household goods delivers can be changed. I felt like Elizabeth Thompson did not care if I closed in my loan or not and did not care about my family and I staying in a hotel for over a month. I think a customer relationship class is needed for her or whomever she was getting direction from.
Veterans United put me in touch with Vito Devellis from Caldwell Banker in Shelton, CT. It was Vito who found the property. It was because of Vito's advice that we put a deposit on the property and submitted a price that ultimately won the contract. I believe if I did not follow Vito's advice we might have lost this property. All of the other properties we looked at after this one didn't even come close in comparison. I am so very thankful for his advice and assistance.
I am confident that I made the right decision to purchase a home through Veterans United Home Loans. My Loan Specialist and Transaction Coordinator bridged the gap between confusion and satisfaction.
Bill Musick is a Great person to work with and I hope I get to work with him in the future. He answered all my questions even on the weekend. He is great to work with!!!!!!
The entire experience was very pleasant, Steve and Danielle were exceptional in providing guidance throughout the entire process. As a 26yr veteran of the US Air Force, I would like to thank Veterans United for the service they provide to our military vets.
I am pleased with Andrew and his team. They did a wonderful job in trying to iron out our multiple problem areas. All went well except for the flood insurance. The initial quote for flood insurance put us over the limit that was in our budget. When we tried to get out of the contract because of the high flood insurance we were told that our folder was too strong for Veterans United to give a valid reason to back out. I think that due to unreasonable and unknown expenses such as the flood insurance there should be an option to back out. It was not until after we were committed that realtors were told that a flood certificate should be supplied by the seller. I had to pay to get an updated flood certificate. It would be helpful if Veterans United Home Loans would be more aware of circumstances and requirements that exist in different areas and inform the agents of these updates. But, the good new is that with persistence and a helpful insurance agent who did research, we were able to grandfather in at a lower rate. It would also be beneficial to be able to teleconference/Skype if concerns arise. For me it is more reassuring to talk face to face.
This is the second loan that John has done for me and I will continue to do business with him as long as he is around!
We will be more than glad to recommend Jessica Fischer and the VA United Home Loans to anyone. In fact, we have already recommended her and VAHL to several people. We hope you get to do business with them.
Thankyou so much for making, what could seem like a daunting task, such a pleasant one. I signed up for information regarding a home loan and had a phone call within a couple of minutes. Emails and paperwork were sent immediately...and recommending a real estate agent who was well versed in the VA loan arena---was an extra plus, knowing what all to look for. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!
