As first time home buyers, my VU team walked me through every step and kept me updated through out the whole process. They were always so easy to reach out to and made this process (which I thought was going to be scary and overwhelming) they made it a walk in the park. The people and processes were great. We used VA for their experience since this is our first house. They came through and made sure that we had everything complete. The people made the experience great. I did have some issues with the underwriting that almost delayed the closing. The day before the closing while I was travelling, I was told that the underwriting team was behind and would have to delay. They delayed it to a holiday when the lawyer could not support. This was after I put a large cost to travel. After several hours of discussions a emergency message was put in by Lily and it was approved less than an hour before closing. This seemed unprofessional to me.
