Veterans United was great to work with! The process was very easy. The faster you get the items they request the faster the process works. I would definitely use them again in the future. I highly recommend them! Ashton Graf was awesome!! She made the entire home buying process less stressful and easy to understand. She went above and beyond what she had to. I have recommended her and Veterans United to every one of my friends who are veterans.

I was very appreciative of all the hard work several people at VU did to make this deal happen for us and they were all so extremely pleasant to work with. This was a special situation for closing this deal in terms of what needed to be navigated but they pulled together as a team and got it done!
My family and I were very disappointed with our experience using Veterans United for our home loan. The biggest issue was the consistently poor communication. Both myself and multiple members of our real estate team had a very difficult time getting in contact with our loan officer and his supervisor. Calls and messages often went unanswered, and this lack of responsiveness ultimately caused our closing to be delayed by six days.Unfortunately, the timing couldn’t have been worse. We had already arranged and loaded a moving truck and adjusted our schedules to spend a long weekend getting settled into the new home. Because Veterans United failed to communicate and process things in a timely manner, we weren’t able to close as planned. I was forced to either pay additional fees to keep the truck longer or make a six-hour round trip to unload everything into a garage—still without access to the house we were supposed to already own.To make matters worse, both our loan officer and his supervisor were unhelpful throughout the process and rude not only to me but also to the professionals working with us. Rather than acknowledging the delays caused on their end, they repeatedly tried to place blame elsewhere despite clear documentation showing their lack of responsiveness.Although Veterans United may offer competitive rates, the service we received was far below acceptable. Based on our experience, I would not recommend them.

I’m really sorry to hear about this experience. What you described sounds incredibly stressful, especially with a moving truck packed and plans already in motion. A lack of communication and a delayed closing can throw everything off, and I understand why that would leave you feeling disappointed and frustrated.
Not being able to reach your loan officer or their supervisor is not the experience we want anyone to have, and I’m sorry for the added strain this put on you, your family, and your real estate team. I’m also concerned to hear that the interactions felt unhelpful or rude. That’s not how we aim to show up for the people who trust us with something as important as a home loan.

I was originally on track with another lender, until I stumbled upon Veteran’s United (and recommended by my colleague) and at first, the amount of outreach was a little overwhelming, but once I got on the phone with Greg my demeanor totally shifted. His professionalism, honesty and mentorship throughout the process made VU an easy choice! He paired me with my realtor, who has been amazing from that day, and even still after closing! I’ve closed on two houses using Veterans United and I cannot recommend them enough. They take the stress out of the equation and make it seamless from start to finish.
Working with Veterans United was such a huge blessing! I got introduced to Ryan back in May when initially trying to pre-approve for a home. I was in the process of moving back home due to the pandemic so I was jobless and without a steady income. The only income I had was disability and at the time it wasn’t enough to qualify. Ryan told me what I needed to qualify and within weeks (nothing but God!) I was at 100% disability. This and only this allowed me to pre-qualify. Ryan was with me the whole time. He told me about my credit and what to do to maintain the score. His team of people was great and held my hand. Sidebar: This is my first home and though it’s a blessing to receive disability, I had to go through some things to be awarded it. Nevertheless, a furloughed job, living with my parents, and collecting unemployment for close to a year was all worth the wait of walking into a newly built home. Thank you, Ryan and your awesome team for giving me a place of refuge and peace.
