The asset verification clerk was a nightmare to work with. Although we had assets enough to pay cash for the house she refused to consider any assets not in a checking account. We had assets in three different banks in checking, savings, and CDs. As a result we had to cash in a $110000.00 CD and deposit to our checking account to satisfy her. That costs us $2,000.00 in early withdrawal penalties. We were fluid with the cost associated for the down payment with other savings and checking accounts but savings accounts could not be considered according to her. Seems like your underwriting prep could use some asset management schooling. That was a black eye in an otherwise good experience.
Overall Veterans United made this experience painless.
Nick Vance, he is a wonderful Lender, feels more like a trusted friend or family member. He is very straightforward, respectful, polite, knowledgeable and reassuring person. He didn’t forget about me and didn’t pressure me either! I felt totally safe disclosuring intimate financial information;,because he didn’t disclose any of my information without my permission! I love that about him. Let’s not talk about how he was always available when I had any concerns! Great Team Nick has created that assist with everything from utilities to homeowners insurance! I can’t express enough gratitude and appreciation for them making me a homeowner!

It took my almost a year to buy a home, but that long time period wasn't because of the Veterans United team. Life, as we all know, doesn't stop and buying a home kept dropping on my priority list.
