We did not close on time due to a very slow appraisal process, an overly detailed loan officer interrogation. This was then followed by a lengthy underwriting process.Most to do items were responded nearly immediately on our end. Having been through the home buying process several times (Loan Depot, Bank of America, USAA, Discover, etc), this was by far the slowest one due to the lender.

It was a very seamless process and I was living overseas at the time, attempting to buy a home state side. Change in duty station is stressful enough and communication was spot on. They even helped with expediting the closing date to ensure I had a home to go to, rather than paying for more lodging fees.
